The Haug Demo Board makes it this easy to test the use of the real time clock from EM Microelectronic

The HDB RV_8803_C7 Demo Board was developed to significantly reduce the design-in period, thus minimising time consumption. We have only used components on the HDB which have already been harmonised. The board is pre-calibrated and thus ready for immediate use.

The RTC modules from EM Microelectronics are ideally suited for recording the exact time of an event or the commencement of an action of a defined length. The RV8803_C7 is the smallest temperature-compensating RTC and is therefore ideal for applications with little space on their PCB. It also offers extremely low power consumption of a maximum 250nA.

The RV8803_C7 real-time clock employed comes from the notable manufacturer
EM Microelectronics
(with production in Switzerland and Thailand) and boasts the following significant technical features:

  • Temperature compensation
  • Calender
  • Alarm function
  • Countdown timer
  • I²C connection
  • Event-dependent interrupts
  • SMD ceramic housing 3.2 x 1.5 x 0.8 mm
